Description
A tidy long-format panel dataset covering life expectancy, population, and GDP per capita for 142 countries across 12 five-year intervals from 1952 to 2007. Derived from the Gapminder Foundation's open data compilation. Distributed as a single CSV with one row per country-year observation, plus a data dictionary describing each column.
Included here as a shared reference dataset used across the OneSciencePlace pilot applications. The same CSV appears in the
Jupyter pilot's stats notebook and in the RStudio pilot's data-wrangling and modeling tutorials, letting users who try multiple OSP applications work with consistent inputs.
Use cases: teaching introductory data analysis, benchmarking pipeline and visualization tools, reproducing standard Gapminder-style plots.
